It’s hard to believe that summer is just a memory now. The cold nights and sunny days of November are here in Michigan. I now have pulled out the extra blankets around the house, and even have a space heater placed in my bedroom for added warmth. In a way, November can be a sad month especially if you don’t like winter. It can also be the start of an exciting time of year with holidays just around the corner.
This year, November is very exciting for my family. My son will be getting married at the end of the month! I will gain a daughter-in-law, who I already love! There has been lots of planning, shopping, and crafting going on with the merging of these two families. I love my son’s new family. They are wonderful. We all get along and enjoy spending time with each other. We really couldn’t have asked for a better in-law family!
Thanksgiving is coming and this year we have so much to be thankful for. A new home, healthy family members, a good small business, and the love of each other. As I watch the leaves continue to fall from the backyard trees, I wonder what next year will bring. Here’s hoping the winter will be mild and pass us by very quickly! 🙂
